Any teachers etc about? Ref Academies...

Our Infants/Primary School has decided in its infinite wisdom (along with a dozen or so other schools in the city) to join one of the local multi-academy trusts.

Parents consultation this evening. What (if any) questions should I bother asking to (a) show some interest (b) check that it's all been thought through properly etc.

Assume that:

(i) this seems to be a done deal (and no, I don't see the point of the consultation either)
(ii) I have no political axe to grind on the issue
(iii) Wife has put me on notice that she will not tolerate smart alec questions
(iv) the school is CofE and the proposed MAT is churchy rather than being a purely commercial venture. (I have also been put on notice to button it on the religion front.)
