It won't help you lose weight,as such, but what it will do is aid recovery after exercise, which in the long run will give you more lean muscle and aid the reduction of fat.
I am *much* more able to run on consecutive days now I'm on the protein.
You sound like you've taken on a lot of exercise - be sure you allow yourself rest days every week, and recovery weeks every month (or so) - a recovery week being one where you still exercise, but dial the effort back a bit.
Take it from someone who has over-done it in the past: recovery is just as important as the intense exercise, and your body needs it. Plus, if you get injured, you'll be doing f**k-all exercise, and that puts you back.
