I did them for 6 months when I was about 17 as part of a training program to try and help bulk up a bit after being told I was too small/slim to make it as a footballer. I was skinny as back then tbf. They helped me hugely to build some strength and lean muscle mass.
However they didn’t help me in the height department which was disappointing.
Summary
Protein shakes - great for building muscle mass, lean or otherwise.
Protein shakes - won’t make you taller.
