I do remember the days of Genie and unlimited free texts, previously 5/10p per text

Used to use the "send to many" option to send dozens of Blank texts to mates phones.
The volume would freeze them forcing them to turn them off and take out the Sim for a few minutes.

So utterly childish and ridiculous, but we all found it hilarious. We were pretty restrained about how often we did it as well, there was an unspoken agreement on the point it stopped being funny.

My first text was sent from Barcelona's in Norwich on my first contract phone that I'd had for a week.
I left it in Barcelona's when we left and never saw it again.
