I don't know the legal ins and outs...

but the specifics if football contracts argument didn't stop Bosman winning his case. And that did more damage to football than tapping up (which we all know goes on all the time anyway - its just that Chelsea have so much money they feel free to do it 'up front') ever did. If it was legal maybe it wouldn't get covered up and everyone would know the score (ie who wa stalking to who), which would at least be more open...
