There is rarely a short pass available because

none of our midfielders (Safri the exception) or 90% of players for that matter have the footballing intelligence to drop off their markers or make intelligent off the ball moves to create space for themselves or others for a short pass.

The only other way a short pass option is possible is when someone beats a man to create space and Hucks is the only person in the team able to do this (partly cause hes the only pleyer in teh squad with ANY pace besides Earnie but he hasnt played yet) hence why he has to play.

In short we are a team of thletes not footballers there is the problem
