It seems very mean-spirited to me. Why shouldn't we celebrate and indulge success?

*Drapes Union Flag around shoulders*. Absolutely agree about the honours. Shouldn't be awarded for sporting success alone. If they then use their profile to do public good, then fair enough, but should only be after retirement.
