She's won two silvers. That does not make for celebrity.

Adlington won two golds and she is a household name. Everyone recognises her.

Roger Black didn't win Olympic gold either, but he did win nine major golds at a time when athletics was box office in this country. He was also part of one of the greatest moments in UK sport history - the '91 world 4x400.
