agreed, but then the question is whether it is easier

to implement such a situation inside or outside of the EU framework. It's pretty unlikely that most of Europe is suddenly going to choose a socialist government at the same time. When one does, as we have seen with Syriza in Greece, the EU is not prepared to give them any room to breathe. If countries stated to leave the EU and the EU lost some of its power as a trading block, then, imo, it would become a bit easier for alternative views to take hold.

Back to the point though; it's clearly the wrong time for that to happen in the case of the UK. Because the consensus view is way to the right at the moment. There's a new Spanish election on Sunday - that may prove to be the next challenge for the EU if the socialists and podemos can form a coalition government.
