No - she died 20 years ago

I was the first girl in my father's life really - he was one of five boys and I had two brothers and then arrived ten years later...and after my mother died we both kept each other going.

I think that when you lose a parent you're never the same again. Never apologise for any feelings you have as a result. So don't think it's son/daughter/mother/father thing - it's just the saddest moment of your life. Hope you get to spend a lot of time with your mum.
