If the school wasn't an Academy then your wife could speak to the council

in private and get the problem sorted.

but as the school is an Academy... I dunno how she can get it sorted. Perhaps speak to a union for advice?

The Tory government want every state school to become an Academy by 2020 and to get rid of parents on school boards, and employ teachers who are not qualified to teach.
