You are now in a classic Infuser's Dilemma

Make do? Or try to fix it and risk making it worse?

My experience is that very soft fleshed fruit is difficult. Leave the stones in and you risk Ameretto. But if you take the stones out then the flesh disintegrates and you have to sieve like crazy through muslin to get it clean at the end.

If I were you I'd assess how soft these fruits are. If reasonably firm, shove a load of stoned ones in plus a little more sugar and see what happens.
