That's not the point though. I'm sure some of

these people are decent but firstly they're paid by the taxpayer (it's not as if they're doing this voluntarily), it gives them privileges in terms of additional business interests and they have the privilege and stature of holding the title of MP. Why in the name of fairness are they then 'recognised' beyond this? The whole system of honours is dated and along with the Lords needs scrapping.
