quite a few clubs in the championship spent far more than us last summer despite us being in a division higher. For a so-called prudent club it is harder to avoid relegation or get promoted than it has ever been.
I think summer business (or lack of) was key. It was glaringly obvious a central defender and proven goalscorer was needed for the first team, not squad players. So far only brady has met the club's supposed criteria of bringing in new players better than what we've already got.
