Yeah, the opinion on here changes like the wind.

Said since the start of the season that we should be aiming for a point per game and a 17th place finish, which would keep us up. We're not managing the former at the moment, but it's not like we're far away from that overall. If we were in Villa's position I would be truly worried. At least we have a chance.

Not sure why anyone thinks they can blame the manager when the club's player recruitment has generally been dreadful over the past five windows. Even last season, we failed to make signings with an eye to the future, in the sense that they could genuinely develop into Prem quality players. The only genuine quality or potential that has been recruited in that time includes Redmond, Mulumbu and Brady. That's just not good enough when so many of our squad have passed their peaks and are declining.
