i've got a first generation Moto G - it has been a fantastic phone for the money

Motorola has a good record of updating to the latest versions of Android (though mine won't get Marshmallow) even though it is no longer owned by Google. They also tend to use a near stock version of Android.

out of interest what's the difference per month between the E and G (is it 3rd generation G?) and how long is the contract?
