With middle of the road/swing voters perhaps, but the Labour Party membership has risen considerably during and since Corbyn's election as leader.

It may have been a mistake not to sing it. Personally I loathe the national anthem, so have no problem with him not singing it in general. In this context, it was perhaps insensitive, though. As usual, context is key
