Heteregeneous teams outperform homogenous or largely homogenous ones in most contexts

I'm sure if more women posted there'd be a much more interesting selection of lunch options, for example.

There are things I don't understand and never have and bigotry is one of them: for example, if - like me - you're straight, why would you care if people who weren't got married or not? It's not that I disagreed with the naysayers, I genuinely didn't understand them.

Same goes for any "ism" really. If you're left-leaning, it's a matter of equality of opportunity and human rights. If you're right-leaning, it's a matter of economic efficiency and provably better decision-making (endless studies have established this). Either way, more or less any group in any activity performs better with a blend of genders, races, sexualities and so on; so any rational person whatever their politics, well, etcetera.

I'm sure this was somehow germane to what you posted when I started but I'm not sure it is any more. Apologies for that. I think we are mostly white straight men and wish we were more reflective of society in general, because we'd get more interesting views from a broader mix of people.
