Can I ask a question?

You probably (understandably) can't answer it, but...

Was there ever the sense, either spoken/unspoken that if you did f**k up that ranks would be closed and you would be protected? Even if it meant officers altering evidence, lying etc.?

It just seems that the met do this time and time again, almost as if it's instinctive.
