Home comforts

In general, it seems our domestic players don't travel particularly well. Language, etc. Rumours of Bale not fitting in appear to be down to him not learning Spanish quickly enough to fit in in the dressing room banter; I doubt RM speaks much Italian. When players come over here, they often come with a lot of support staff - hidden costs that a lot of clubs don't always let us know about - perhaps he didn't do that and was isolated.
