it is a good idea

but like you say it is assumption based, so the reason why there is an imbalance is not being addressed correctly. some boffins should be able to crunch some numbers under controlled conditions in a lab to find out the whys and wherefores and then the football league could come up with a coherent strategy to meet the aim. not a thought about female candidates though, even though there are several with professional coaching licences.
