It doesn't seem that long ago to me but at the time:
I was 23 years old and single and still living with my Mum & Dad. Although I knew the lady who was to become my first wife we hadn't started seeing each other.

I didn't get to see City that much because I lived in Dorset and couldn't drive. Mostly I watched Bournemouth who were managed by Harry at that time. Their bestplayers were John Beck and Sean O'Driscoll.

Music wasn't as important to me as it is now, my favourite albums at the time were "Born in the USA" and "Them or Us", but mainly I listened to whatever Laser 558 were playing.

I was a trainee manager at a building society.

If you'd told me how my life would look next time we got to Wembley I wouldn't have believed any of it.
