Only had bad experiences with software upgrades on Android Phone about software upgrades

I have a Sony Experia P, various upgrades have broken camera, removed ability to see pictures. Broken the wifi so when it drops out of range it does not lose the connection so I need to remember to switch it off or put phone temporarily on airplane mode. Current upgrades have completely knackered the battery power management app so when I switch on the 3G the app thinks it has no power and either closes apps or switches the phone off thinking it?s got no power. When I switch it back on again (using hard re-boot) of course the power is back to 75% left on battery.

The phone is now 3 years old, should still be ok, but is a piece of s**t now. I?ve re-stored it to back up quite a few times over the years.

All I can presume they have been rolled out but tested by chimps.
