OK, so I am a freelance Producer for videogames and mobile apps. I have put myself in a rather unfortunate position of having one main client as I like the freedom working with them affords me (work from home, do whatever hours I like as long as work gets done) even though I often work silly hours and at weekends.
Anyway, I've asked for a guaranteed minimum each month (let's call it X) as I sometimes make X and other times Y (Y is bad m'kay?) and it means feast or famine.
They have said yes to always making X, but now expect to throw as much work my way as they see fit but still pay me X and no more.
Do I walk away and scrap around for another client or can I save some face and say no, I just want X as a MINIMUM (bearing in mind they have already said "Well you just said you wanted to make X a month").
