Although i would query the notion that Wes cannot play central midfield. He has done at times for Ireland in the last two years. I agree probably better as part of a 3 but a diamond may have worked Saturday. Sometimes actually having an outball from defence and keeping possession is the best way of protecting your dodgy defence.

I think longer term the manager either needs to drop one of the strikers (certainly away from home) or ask Jerome to play wide left so we can play 4-3-3.
