you play Wes instead of an attacker, not instead of a central midfielder

He really isn't a CM. If he was going to play it would have involved dropping Jerome, Hooper, Redmond or Lafferty.

They were all in reasonable form going in (even Lafferty scored last week) so I can see why he didn't start him. He did bring him on.
