In the last 30+ years, my emotions regarding new managers, players and new seasons

Almost always follows the same pattern...
Being initially under whelmed/pessimistic, followed by completely unsubstantiated optimism (usually based on a quote from said player, manager etc), followed by ultimate disappointment when the action actually starts. Rarely have Norwich let me down in that regard. I'm currently at the optimism stage with Alex Neil. He's going to be the next Brian Clough.
