I think that the debate on here has centred on similar issues, namely

Is there enough evidence to convict someone of something that is a very serious crime. That's certainly the element of the Evans case i've always found of interest. I think our justice system on the whole works very well and is probably the fairest in the world but certainly recent cases such as these historic sexual offences celebrity trials (and to a certain extent the Ched Evans trial) do, for me, throw up some interesting issues as to what level of evidence should be required to underpin a prosecution/conviction.

Re the helicopter trip, the report i read said he gave the driver the money for that on the morning he flew back to the UK after the murder. I suppose if it was a non-refundable deposit for that trip (as he claims) then he may just have felt he was doing the right thing by the taxi driver but it looks a bit dodgy especially the video footage where he ushers the guy to a private part of the hotel to do it. It IS evidence of sorts albeit its all dependent on the credibility of the taxi driver as a witness holding up and here it clearly didn't.
