I feel the whole thing is a bit of a shame.

I don't think he is a racist, people like Steve Bruce who worked with him closely for years have come out and said so........

Dave likes to talk a lot to the media........ talk enough and you will say some stupid s**t especially when talking about race........ and trying to defend someone who has been accused of racial/bigoted texts.....just ends up as an old man who is probably a bit out of touch to the current ultra PC world we live in.......
