It is all a bit hysterical though. One thing that you overlook in all this, I think, is that the actions that the board have taken are probably guided more by the fact that they're acfual fans and I think that affects things quite strongly. It's harder to be dispassionate and neutral when you're a fan, harder to see beyond what you want to succeed to what is actually more likely to. Successful club owners tend nowadays to be more business-orientated and remote. But that doesn't always work either. So I guess you have a choice, don't you? Support or not.
I mean, it's not a rational choice to support Norwich. For me it's my local club and part of my identity. I have a soft spot for other clubs that have had something to do with my life. Otherwise, I have no distinct emotional interest in other clubs. If I just supported "football" rationally I'd not have a club. But that's what makes it important, isn't it?
