Huw Jenkins has a pretty hands on role there

pretty much acts as a Director of Football as well as running the club, he is the one who took many of the brave decisions to get them where they are. When he worked with Kenny Jackett, it was Jackett and Jenkins that first devised the style of play that would take Swansea forward then he sacked Jackett after pressure from their fans and local media and took a brave decision in hiring Martinez (who had no experience) came in and improved on it. Martinez partly succeeded because he had a fairly decent base to build on, Jackett and Jenkins had already brought in a number of players that were comfortable on the ball.
