Well, to expand on my thoughts last night

I found it far too artsy. A travelogue rather than a deep and rigorous scientific exploration.

The episode was suppose to tell us how "BRILLIANT!" it is that man went from ape to spaceman. So he spoke briefly about the evolution which led to descendants who were able to make weapons through to descendants who learned how to write. But, frankly, without delving at all deeply in the neurological development that led to these astonishing advances

Then he would talk about how brilliant astronauts are and went to see some cosmonauts arriving back on earth. Which of course was BRILLIANT!

What did I actually learn? That the tilt of the earth and particular angles of orbit directly correlate with major leaps in human development. Why? I don't really know.

That was it.

It looked nice.
