Everyone knows that FIFA's attitude to head injuries is worse than useless. Everyone knows that there have been far too many examples of players continuing when they should substituted immediately and everyone knows that one of our own greatest heroes is suffering from dementia as a direct result of playing the game and heading the ball.

Why the sneering? Is this not a genuine issue? Something worth debating? US mums are beneath you?
