Thoughts on the game

1. Really hard to judge with the sending off so early.

2. Was pleased with the team selection. Better balance. This league all about solid platform then fancy stuff up front.

3. That said their manager had our number at half time. Decided to bring on pace to stretch our slow defence. Nearly worked on a coupe of occasions before we snuffed them out.

4. Still unconvinced about the defence and think Bennett should be playing with Martin back to RB.

5. That said we will have too much going forward for most teams at this level.

6. We are still very much a work in progress. I still feel we are not at full match fitness after our shambolic pre-season. Also very obvious today that the front 4 not yet on the same wavelength. It will come though.

7. Redmond was dh*t again but will come good. One of his biggest assets is that the oppo are terrified of him so even when he does not play well he still helps open things up for us.

8. Laff is good but a very different played to what I think we all thought he would be. Interesting he did not play in the middle at any stage.

9. Bit gutted at the Fer rumours . The rumoured fee is not enough.
