It's not the first time that it's happened in that area either...

The Iraqis used chemical weapons on the Kurds back in the 1980's wiping out hundreds of thousands.

The Iraqi Kurds fought against the Iraqis in the Gulf War, so I don't see there being a lot of love lost, or any major hurry for them to get involved in helping them against ISIS.

It's a nightmare...
