Social history as well as military,people of a certain age should write it down if they aren't comfortable with talking about it,or else it's lost forever.do look on Great War forum...some amazing peeps on there,I ended up with a photocopy of an actionreport my grandad was in,written in pencil in the trenches!.very moving.one august before I die I plan to stand in the square in France where he was given his MM and raise a glass!
