And to add to the debate about the centre backs above, Davenport and Doherty have had the supposed advantage of playing variously with Safri, Robinson, Etuhu in front of them. Dohery and Fleming had the dubious pleasure of the central midfield dream-team of Hughes and Jarrett, two of the most jaw-droppingly bad excuses for footballers I have ever seen. And boy, have I seen some s**t in my time!
