True, it is mentioned a lot on here, but crucially (hopefully) the Board do not see it as

a main criteria.

For all the accusations of them preferring a City name, only one out of the last four permanent managers has had links (I'm not counting Adams as a permanent), and surely they'll have had their hands burned the last time they appointed someone with a City link - so IMO it would be even less of a criteria than it was before.
