he cared about wining, not possession stats (and his teams tended to have quite a direct style of play, which often doesn't result in high posession stats).
Having loads of possession doesn't necessarily mean you are the better team, it might just reflect your style of play. Teams that pass the pass around sideways at the back will generally have huge possession stats (Bayern did this yesterday, particularly in the first half, while rarely threatening to score).
Two seasons ago, our first season up, Swansea were right near the top of the league in terms of time of posession and we were right near the bottom. Yet we scored a lot more goals than them and we both finished in mid-table next to each other.
Time of posession is just a stat, not necessarily a measure of quality. Teams of a certain style like Swnsea WILL always have high possession stats even when playing badly, so you should accept it. I'm sure they did in all their previous Prem games against us and yet until yesterday they hadn't won any of them.
Bloody hell, some people don't half like to get angry about nothing much.
