He doesn't have the basic footballing ability IMHO

His first touch has been awful, pretty much every time he has played so, no, I really don't think he could play in the Wes role.

Like everybody, I hope he will come good, but I don't get the 'he gets in great places in the box' argument at all, when he clearly can't put chances away.

If we had bought him for 1M, from a League One team, everybody would have written him off as just not being Prem standard by now, I think. The fact he comes with such a crazy price tag is the only reason he keeps getting games.
