Agreed with you on the Chilli Peppers - rubbish.

Joy Division's lyrics were very poetic - although if that's what you want you can just go and read poetry, and there is poetry out there that's better than Curtis' lyrics.

I've always found their music very powerful - all in the production of course - Martin Hannett was a clever boy. I play bass (or at least I did) and love those high bass lines, too.

And I was always a big fan of Morrissey - you just have to ignore the solo career ...
