...I think "Stalinist" is a little strong (stlolinisnt??), and as ever the fans' view is never as nuanced or informed as the insider view (read the secret footballer +others on tactics, team selection, etc).
But surely no-one in their right mind thinks replacing him now would achieve anything. He could still be our manager next term but for me he's got to step it up a notch or probably two in the remaining games this term for that to happen. I think the smart money is on him staying till the end of the season but someone else being in charge over the summer.
Which in some ways is a shame - I really rate Hoots in the transfer market - but even avoiding the emotional overreaction to bad results, and the fact that he *has* set us up really well a number of times this season only to be let down by the players, I wonder if a fresh face would reinvigorate the dressing room, and a fresh mind might use some of these excellent players better (to my mind we have one of the best Norwich squads ever assembled at the minute; whereas once we overachieved and our league position flattered us, now I think we're better than our league position suggests, and that's rarely good news for any manager)
