That's awful. Poor guy. :(

The tribalism of football, and extremes that accompany it at times, make me sick. But I've never, ever regarded West Ham away on a midweek night as a 'safe' fixture or anything like it; and there are many venues in England where I don't think wearing the team's colours is at all advisable.

Of course, in a civilised world not full of absolute w**kers, it wouldn't be a question of that. But it is, sadly.

Hope this poor guy's OK.
