?130 quid for 16gb that performs akin to the nexus 4 with better battery life (something you tend to get unless stepping to a phablet).

note 3 would be a great device so long as you can put up with touch wiz.

Cheaper option (in the long run anyway) would be the nexus 5.

depends how long you can wait as well. with mwc kicking off we could see new handsest (including the s5) which may drop prices of current handsets.
