He is playing 4-4-2 because he is a weak manager who has reacted to fan criticism

Its ironic in a way because he clearly did not want to play 4-4-2 for ages and prefers to play with the extra midfielder.

Would not bother me so much if he could see what is going on during the game and change it (like Lambert used to do when he got the starting formation wrong) but he can't.

He is basically a manager that likes to play 1 up front but has bought 2 big name strikers and now feels under pressure to play them both. meanwhile he has alienated and is possibly about to offload one of the two players who does enable us to play his preferred and our best formation which we inexplicably no longer play despite the Man U game being once of our best performances of the season by a mile. Just further examples of his completely mind boggling incompetence at present.
