this is why the Tettey then Howson injuries have buggered us up so much

have consistently prevented a return to that Fer-Tettey-Howson axis that was looking pretty good.

We don't currently seem to have anyone that can fill in well for any of those three (Johnson & Hoolahan don't quite cut it for different reasons). Maybe that's what we should be looking at transfer wise, rather than more peripheral wide players or strikers. Get the spine of the team right first.
