4-4-2 is no longer a starting formation but for last 20 when chasing a game could work but

it's a more direct style...all depends on how you like to see the game played. I think I heard on radio the other day 4-4-2 is perfectly suited to a Pulis side who bypass midfield and whose midfielders only like to see the ball from the half way line onwards pref in final third. Why supporters who criticise Hoofball but have this obsession with 2 up front is beyond me.
