He is not "very poor"

The jury is still out on him as a Prem manager, if he'd have the season we may have known a little better. It's also conjecture to say Cornelius is on "well over ?50k" when the highest reported is ?40k.

He did exceptionally well in the Championship with 2 different teams and was dealing with the step-up ok if not fantastically.

I wouldn't hire him, personally - I think there's a chance he's very slightly worse than CH at worst, probably around the same level and potentially a lot better but there are better options out there.

People seem to go far to over the top to justify not wanting him at CR. To call him "very poor" is a laughably terrible opinion and has no basis in fact.
