Some of not most of those are trying to manage large external debt

and, as Lee say, already have large wage bills.

We have no external debt to service, good income and a low wage bill as a base... with the Sky bunce we're fking loaded.

That being said - although we are third behind Chelsea and Man City - Southampton, Swansea and Sunderland have all spent similar amounts to us. Just a bit less that's all.
