which does beg the question - why would we have more money to spend than most other clubs?

eg Newcastle / Villa / Fulham / Stoke / Sunderland / West Brom / Everton...

There's no obvious reason, is there? That's what I don't really understand. Maybe everyone else's spending is about to go crazy over the next few weeks?
